Notes:
This EP was recorded digitally to ADAT with the whole band playing
together simultaneously at Magnet Lab, following a full length, self
produced cassette which had been recorded analog to 4-track at the
Montgomery house where Phat Rock also rehearsed prior to the formation
of Groove Timber. Magnet Lab used to be upstairs from where Seven Saints
is now. Joe Donhowe (Imaginary Posse/Emotional Rec Club) produced the
Bullfrog EP there over the course of one or two sessions. Overdubbing,
which made extensive use of sound effects, was a more drawn out process
which was wrapped up in time to make way for Absinthe Blind - who began
working on Solarshift at Magnet Lab with Joe Stover (Swoon), who
produced that album from Donhowe's studio. The name of Jimmy's studio
was never included anywhere here, but he was more ore less the main
sound man (along with Stover) in downtown Champaign in those days, at
venue's like The Highdive, or The Blind Pig (then Coppers) which was
where Cowboy Monkey is now.
